Warhammer 40K - Imperial Guard Steel Legion

For a long time I have collected steel legion miniatures, last year I made a big decision to repaint the collection. 4 different color designs and no idea behind was a big reason why. So after I stripped the models i
I painted one model as a design prototype. With a simple color schedule and the use of army painter the miniature was looking as a steel legion trooper.
The release of the 2009 Imperial guard codex supported the choice of a simple color design. The painting part of the hobby is fun but the playing part is the part of the hobby I enjoy the most, more simple put if you want to paint extreme models choose an alternative to the imperial guard like demons or marines. So army painter and a simpler color scheme is the way to go for my 200 steel legions.
An analysis of the project so far is that 34 troopers are finished and 40 more are in progress.
The goal of the painting project is to have an Infantry platoon with one Command squad, 5 Infantry squads, 5 Heavy weapon squads. The Command squad is planned to have a Salamander as a transport.
The second part of the project is the company command squad and a command chimera with extra armor. The Apocalypse command upgrade pack should upgrade the chimera to a command vehicle.
Part three in the project is one more Infantry platoon, consisting of a Command squad and 4 infantry squads mounted in 5 Chimera armored transports. The chimera is in the process of being stripped.
Points of the army.
The goal of the army is "Apocalypse" 3500 p or more. With so many points should 4 army lists be easy to calculate. So to create army lists of 500 p, 1500 p, 2000 p and 2500 p is one of my side projects.
The time limit for all of the projects is to complete them this year. So in the end of this month a update of the projects should be up.
